Hi, in order to read contents of password protected PDF file then you can use PDF Unlocker. This tool easily remove restrictions from PDF file. Moreover, it maintains file structure and data hierarchy while removing the password.

There is no direct manual method to remove security from PDF files. However, with the Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can remove protection from PDF file. For this, you have to follow some steps –

    • Open password protected PDF by entering password
    • Then, go to Secure button
    • Click on Remove Security
    • You will be asked to enter password and then, click OK
    • Now, save the file

Note: If you don’t save the file then changes will not be saved.

Thanks, Barry Allen for your suggestions, but, I think It would be difficult to have paid version of Adobe Acrobat Pro in order to remove security from PDF files. I think in this case third party solution would be best.
