Firstly, you need to check whether Adobe Reader works in the proper manner or it. It might be possible that Adobe Reader also gets corrupted. So, firstly, you have to repair it.

Thanks, I followed each and every step as you have described. I repaired Adobe Reader but, I am unable to open PDF documents. I think these files are severely damaged. Can you please suggest the best method for the same?
If the problem is not resolve by using the manual approach then, it is advised to use third party software i. e. PDF Restore tool. It is the best solution to repair damaged Adobe PDF files that are minor or severely corrupted. Moreover, it easily fix all errors related to PDF files.
