Retiring an ancient Mac running Entourage 2008. The mail needs to end up in Outlook 2016 on Windows.

I read Entourage can export MBOX. What is the full path from that old Mac to a working PST?

Entourage makes this easier than most legacy clients because the MBOX export is literally drag and drop.

1
On the Mac, open Entourage and drag each mail folder from the folder list onto the Desktop. Each becomes a .mbox file named after the folder.
2
Copy the .mbox files to the Windows machine over a USB stick formatted as exFAT so both systems read it.
3
Convert the files with an MBOX to PST converter such as SysTools MBOX Converter. Select the folder of .mbox files and it writes a PST with one folder per file.
4
In Outlook, File, Open and Export, Open Outlook Data File to attach the PST, then drag folders into your live mailbox if you want them merged.

Two Entourage specific notes. Subfolders do not come along in a folder drag, each subfolder needs its own drag to the Desktop, so work top down through the list. And the Entourage address book does not live in the mail folders at all, export it separately via File, Export, Contacts to a tab delimited text file and import that into Outlook as CSV.

Dragged out 18 folders including the nested ones, converted and attached. Contacts came through the text export route. That Mac can finally retire.
