From today morning, my Outlook is showing a strange error message on the screen and therefore I am not able to send emails.

Error: Sending’ reported errors: (0x800CCC78) : ‘Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account properties. The server responded: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first.’

Help me to fix this pitfall.

Since wrong input of port numbers are always find as main cause behind the send/receive error in Outlook, I recommend you to re-check the server details which you have used to configure Outlook account.

Also, tell me what email service you are using in Microsoft Outlook?

    Thanks
    Barry

Sure, let’s try these steps to make changes:

Open “MS Outlook” >> Click on “File” Tab >> “Account Settings” >> “Account Settings” >> Click on “Change” >> “More Settings” >> Move on “Outgoing Server” Tab >> Ensure the Option “My outgoing server (SMTP) require authentication” must be checked.

I got an informative article on the error 0x800ccc78.To get more info, see here: http://error.pstrecovery.net/outlook-error-0x800ccc78.html
