Hi Dexter, nnAre you interested in discussing all the errors or wanting to explore the causing reasons behind the error? nnThen we will start the good conversation on it. nnThanks

Hello Michael, nnYes, I want to explore the main causes behind the error as mentioned above. nnThere are many scenarios which encountered the errors. nnLet's start the conversation.

OK, let me tell you the main reasons behind these errors which encountered the errors: n
    n
  • Corruption in OST files.
  • nn
  • Outlook OST files were attacked by a virus.
  • nn
  • Sudden system shutdown while Outlook-Exchange synchronization process is on.
  • nn
  • Abrupt Outlook termination while Outlook-Exchange synchronization process is on.
  • nn
nn

Hello Dexter, nnAs per Michael described the main reason, I would mention some solution to recover the corrupt. OST file: nn1. The easiest approach to fix corrupted OST file is to replace it with the latest backup copy. It is an advice to take OST file backup regularly. nn2. Use the Microsoft Scanost. exe utility in order to recover damaged OST files. If you are using Outlook 2007 and below version then the utilities can fix minor issues of OST files. nn3. In some cases, the OST file got corrupted due to issues in Outlook User profile so you can delete the current profile and create a new one. nnFollow the above-mentioned steps to repair OST file.

Hi, nThanks, Michael and Eddie to participate in the discussion, please suggest more solutions for the corruption error.

Hi Everyone, nnI would know is there any reliable solution is available to open corrupt OST file. nnThanks

Hello, nI think you must use a free OST viewer tool to open OST file even damaged or corrupted. nThanks

Hi Eddie, nThe tool works fine, thanks for your suggestion.
