Not sure why, but since last week I am getting two copies of each email in my inbox. I have not encounterd such an issue earlier ever but these ones are messing up with my inbox’s data. Hence, now I am grid to halt and its becoming hard to go for something that I want to get.

Is there anyone who can help me out of this.

ThanksrnBarry

Which Outlook Account are you working on? I mean POP or IMAP.

I am working with a POP account.

All right Barry. nnThere might be many reasons to receive duplicate emails. Have you installed any antivirus? I am just asking because many anti-virus programs can cause this issue. If your email is large, then the software causes a "timeout". As a result you receive Duplicate emails. n

I think antivirus software is not causing the issue. The second part of the your’s answer seems quite helpful. So, can you please tell me how I can deal with it, timeout error (whatever the term you have addressed in your reply).

Hello BarrynnYou can increase your server timeout settings to 5 minutes by following given below steps: nnIn Outlook 2010: nnClick on “File” Tab >> “Account Settings” >> “Account Settings” >> Click on your existing emails account >> “More Settings” >> “Advanced Tab” >> Move on the “Server Timeout” Section, click on arrow & Increase from 1 minute to 5 minutes. n

It worked like a treat.
