Moving off Yahoo Mail after 15 years. I want everything in Outlook on my PC, folders intact. IMAP sync started but keeps stalling around the same point every time. Alternatives?

Yahoo IMAP throttles heavily on big mailboxes, which is your stall. Two workable routes:
1
Patient route: in Yahoo settings generate an app password, use that for the Outlook IMAP account and let it sync over a few days. Throttling pauses it, it resumes on its own.
2
Direct route: SysTools Yahoo Backup logs into the account, downloads everything to a PST with folder structure preserved and handles the throttling internally. Import that PST into Outlook and you are done in one sitting.
Took the direct route. 60,000 emails in a PST by morning, folders intact. Solved.
