    Hello Andrew Jackson,

You are right, Microsoft discontinued Windows 7 OS support. So, it is the end of the Windows Live Mail application. There are multiple options available to import Windows 7 Mails to Outlook. But, only a few of them are trusted. You can use software to export Windows 7 Live Mail data into Outlook supported PST format.

After that import the PST into Microsoft Outlook.

    Yes,

I personally used SysTools Windows Live Mail to PST Converter for the same. It worked well in my case. I am an IT Administrator, by using this software. I migrated 200 users’ mailbox to Outlook.

Note: – Install this software on your Windows 7 system and use Auto Detect storage location option.

    Follow the steps:

    1. Launch Windows Live Mail Converter Software on your Windows 7 machine
    2. Select the radio button Auto Detect storage location
    3. Now the software will find the Windows live mail storage folder from its default location. You can preview complete data here.
    4. Now select PST radio button and click on the Export button
    5. Wait till the export process completes to 100%

Now you have a PST file, simply import it into Outlook (any version).

    Hello,

I have backup of Windows 7 live mail storage folder and now I have installed Windows 10 on same system.

Now I want to use Outlook, is it possible to import Windows 7 mail data to Outlook?

Windows 7 mail stored in Pen Drive.

I performed the steps, suggested by B. But the software is not detecting Windows 7 Mail storage folder automatically.

    Hello,

As you have mentioned, you have a backup stored in Pen drive. So, first of all, copy the complete folder to your Windows 10 system.

    After that follow the steps:

    1. Launch the Windows 7 Mail to Outlook PST converter
    2. Select the radio button Browse for the Storage Location
    3. Navigate and browse the Windows 7 mails folder.
    4. After this perform the steps explained above.

You can use manual method to import Windows 7 Mails to Outlook. Use drag and drop method.

Simply drag your Windows Live Mail EML files and drop into Outlook mailbox folder one by one. This is lengthy process for large size data.
