Hello DexternYou need to restore your data from backup. If you have Backup available. nSince the file was not deleted but truncated, It must not be deleted. nRecently, I found that, Outlook 2007, have some problems with NAS drives/servers.

Sorry but it's been way too long since I did the back up (yes I know - I should know better than foregoing regular backups):-(

Hi DexternYou can this method, sometimes it works. n1. Corrupt the. PST file manually. n2. Using a hex editor, Erase 7 bytes from position 07 in the. pstnfile. n3. Then run scanpst. exe, available free on the net. nYou will recover you old PST file. nThis sometimes helps. nnNote: If this doesn't help, the file hasntravelled west.

I tried getting help of a hex editor to edit the file. But it’s 0 Bytes in size as mentioned earlier I cannot just erase the 7th through the 13th bytenin the file. What else needs to be written in the file otherwise?

You have to use this method it’s best possible and most efficient way to recover a PST file: nFor this you have to nCreate a new outlook 2010 data file. nSave a New Folder on My Desktop. nCopy an existing Sent and Received folder to New data file.
