I have a variety of terribly massive(600MB to 2GB), archive PST folders. They are on external storage. Whenever I search for a file, I need to manually connect to different archives to Outlook and wait for them to load. I don’t know what to do. How to save my time and search PST files without Outlook.

Any help will be appreciated.

nYou can try this outstandingnCreate a separate mail profile, then start Outlook with that profile. Now connect your PST files to it and let them index the PST files. Lastly restart your Outlook with regular mail profile. When in need to search for archive item, open start menu and type; store: MAPI< your query> n

I think “Yes” you can search old PST files with this solution. But if its not working then, you should search for an alternate solution

I searched, but little bit confused which is the best alternate solution to go with.
