This is totally weird. We had repository of various PST files and now most of the Outlook Data Files from it are not accessible anymore after an unexpected hard disk crash.

I am done with hard drive recovery entirety and results baffled me. Some Outlook Data Files are showing error when I am trying to access them and if I access somehow, then Outlook is not screening any data of PST file.

Can anyone tell me, How to recover Outlook data from a crashed computer?

Thanks & RegardsrnBarry Allen

Hey Barry, nnIt seems that your Outlook Data Files weren't fully restored after recovering the data. The PST File might be facing corruption issues which might be hindering outlook to view its contents. nI would suggest you to scan and fix your PST File using Microsoft's inbuilt Inbox repair tool : Scanpast. exe. nLocated at: Office Installation Folder/Scanpst. exennFeel free to revert back for further queries/assistance. nnThanksn~Dex

Truth has it, I am not kind of software-techie who knows about these stuffs profoundly. Nevertheless, I followed the mentioned path and ran “scanpst”, but I did not get any response. The corruption still persists there in PST file and clogging up in the working of Outlook. I think, I missed something while running this tool. nnMind, if you pass along some kind of source about “Inbox Repair Tool”. I mean, an article from where I could learn How this thing works. nnThanks & RegardsnBarry Allenn

Hello, nnI found an informative article on SCANPST(Inbox Repair Tool). I think this will help you out from your issue. nnBest Regards

I read an article on Inbox Repair Tool (Scanpst. exe) functioning. After performing Scanpst. exe, the issue still occurred, and then I used Outlook Recovery Tool, which was mentioned in the last section of that article. My PST file issue was resolved very easily. nnThank you Eddie for sharing the article with me!.:-)
