Please be more specific because this error is commonly encountered in the older earlier versions Outlook.

    Hi Barry,

    Let me explain you again.

I am using a FREE tool having name as Nucleus Kernel PST Password Recovery, it claims that it will recover my password from a protected pst file. I download it and used it on my pst file. But it gives me an error saying “seek failed on an unnamed file”. So, now I need to know how to overcome this error and how to recover my pst file password. Any other good tool, if you can recommend.

    Hello Leo,

I guess Barry is right, you have to define things more profoundly so we could give right answer. Well, To be frank, I have never heard about such error while handling PST file. I guess, the software (Kernel PST Password Remover) which you are using to remove encryption is not able to nail it and therefore showing the error.

Why you don’t give a try to another third party source, whereas you are already paying for something.

    Thanks & Regards
