How answers get verified
Every reply posted on TechQueries goes through moderator review before it appears publicly. A moderator checks that the answer is technically accurate, safe to follow and relevant to the question. Answers that pass review get published. Answers that recommend risky steps, contain spam or are off topic get rejected.
When a reply actually solves the problem, the thread author or a moderator marks it as the accepted answer. Accepted answers carry a green Verified banner showing which moderator reviewed it and when.
Who moderates this forum
Our moderator team works in data recovery and email systems professionally. They review answers based on hands-on experience, not guesswork.
Rules for posting
- Search first. Your question may already have a verified answer.
- Give details. Include your operating system, software version and the exact error message. Vague questions get slower answers.
- One problem per thread. Separate issues get separate threads so answers stay findable.
- Mark it solved. When a reply fixes your problem, say so. It helps the next person with the same issue.
- No spam or self promotion. Links to your own product or site get the post rejected.
- Be civil. Disagree with the answer, not the person.
Reporting a problem
Every post has a Report button. Use it if you spot spam, dangerous advice or abusive behaviour. Reports go straight to the moderator queue and get reviewed within a day, usually much faster.
If a verified answer turns out to be outdated, report it too. Software changes and we update or retire answers that no longer work.
