    On Tuesday night I transferred some files to my usb stick and I checked that all files has been copied successfully. But when I Plug-in usb stick in my computer then there is no file in it. I don’t know what type of error occurred due to which all the files are hidden, some one please help me to retrieve the files as these file are very important for me.

    Hello Martin, First tell me that when you plug-in your usb stick it shows some data or empty. As you have not mentioned it in your question.

    Hi David, Yes when I plug-in the usb drive to my computer it shows that some data in it. But when I open it then there is no data.

    In this situation there may be a chance that any how you checked the hidden mode. Simply go to properties and uncheck the hidden mode.

    I checked that and hidden mode did not checked, I think there might be some other problem due to which I can not see my files.

    I apologize Martin, But in my case when I am not able to see my data from USB stick then I did the same and every thing is fine. It did not work in your case, it means there is some other issue. I will try to find some other solution for this issue.

    Hello Martin, there are many issues which creates such situation. You first check in other device like (other computer, laptop etc.). Because some time is occurs due to hardware failure or particular driver failure.

    Martin you can execute a command on cmd definitely it will help you. Follow the steps given below.
    Step 1: – Go Run and type cmd and press Enter.
    Step 2: – Run the command attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*
    Here “f” is used as a usb drive, you can change according to you.

    Thanks David, by executing this command I am able to view my files. But when I am trying to access the files then it shows some error. How to fix this error any suggestion.

    There must be virus attack, in this situation you need to go for third party software which you can find on internet. But I always use a USB Drive Recovery Software, which you can also use. It is recommended that fist download the free demo version of the software and analyse all feature of the tool and invest for it.

    Thanks Henry, It worked well for me, Now I can view all files from my usb stick.
