    Hello,

Since last morning while trying to open MS Outlook. I’m continuously getting this error message: “Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set folders could not be opened. The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists”. How to fix this error? Can anyone specify?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

You’re facing the same problem as I was few times back. The fact is that there are many possible reasons to this error to occur in Outlook and also for each reason there are different kind of solutions. However when I was facing the same issue. I’d googled about this and found a list of solutions. I tried every solution but nothing were familiar to my problem. At last I tried “Create a new Profile and restart Outlook” and seriously it worked for me. So I would like to recommend you to go through this solution and if in case it does not work then kindly let me know.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Michael,

To create a new profile in Outlook. Follow the below steps:
Click Control Panel >> select All Control Panel Items >> click Mail >> click Show Profiles.
In the Profile Name dialogue box, type a name for the profile and click OK to proceed to the next step.
Specify the User Name, the primary Email Address, and the Password. Then, click Next.
A new window will appear. Click Finish to close this window.
    Restart Outlook.

Kindly let me know if you find any further assistance

    Hi Michael,

The problem you’re facing few times ago I was having the same problem. I’ve goggled a lot about it and found a very useful article that says to run inbox repair tool to scan PST file and it has worked for me like a charm. Follow these steps:

Navigate to Inbox repair tool (SCANPST.exe) and double click to open.
Browse the PST file that you want to scan.
Click Start to repair PST file.

For more info. Click here to see the same article: http://www.msoutlookware.com/error/outlook-doesnt-start.html
