    Hi all,

    Yesterday after I’d merged two Outlook PST files to reduce their size, I found that a lot of duplicated Outlook items also get merged. I’m not sure about how to find all those duplicates and how to remove them from PST file which is creating a lot of confusion since my all emails are scattered.

    So if anyone faced the same issue, please do let me know the procedure to remove duplicated items from Outlook.

    Hi,

    Use the Cleanup Tool feature of MS Outlook which I found very helpful to remove if Outlook has any duplicate emails. You can follow the below shown steps:

    Open your MS Outlook >> from the ribbon click on Clean Up >> click on Clean Up Folders and subfolders.

    click on Clean Up Folder from the box appear.

    After doing this it will remove the duplicates if any in the PST file/folder.

    You can also use “Import/Export” feature of Outlook. click on File >> Open & Export >> click on Import/Export >> click on Import from another program or file and click on Next >> again choose the option Outlook data fie (.pst) >> Next >> and choose the option Do not import duplicates.

    Hi Barry! is the problem still persist? if yes then the other possible reason towards this error in Outlook could be as following: if you check marked the option “Leave Message on the Server” or when people sends you multiple copy of the same message.
