The main problem start arising while I manually added all contacts in both account. When I tried to do so I selected merge duplicate something outlook hanged n so I choose “Allow duplicate” for both accounts’ contacts. Now, I want to merge all of them and remove duplicate entries.

    Hello Michael
If the Outlook is hanging there must be a problem with Outlook 2013 which needs to be rectified.
Firstly try to Recover your Outlook by running scanpst.exe
you can get reference from the link below
http://blog.systoolsgroup.com/pst-file-tips-tricks.html it will provide you the complete details regading the pst files. If it doesn’t work out then try to run a 3rd party software i.e
    SysTools Outlook Recovery
Because if it is hanging there must be some issues that needs to be resolved so that you don’t face further problems.

    Thanks Dexter
I tried to do that and thanks for the help. Due to it I am resolved with my Pst files issues and the hanging issues of Outlook is also solved. But can you please guide me further so that my Duplicate Contacts that was earlier created can be resolved. Because for that I have to start from the beginning and that will take too long. Is there any method to do it in easy way?

    Hi Michael
The Solution provided by Dexter is good and will resolve your Outlook issues. But if you simply want to Resolve your duplicate contacts issues you can opt. for Merge options. This can simply Merge and will hide the Duplicate Entries in your Address book
Steps for merging Duplicate Contacts in Outlook:

    1. Open Outlook 2013.

    2. Click on people from the navigation pane at the bottom.

    3. choose the person with whom you wish to link another contact.

    4. click on the 3 dots right next to the edit option and choose Link Contact.

    5. Search Name of the person to be merge set in link another Contacts and click on that. It’ll merge the contacts right and can show each the names beneath connected Contacts heading.

    6. To create certain the contacts merged, Select name which was chosen earlier and see if it shows the merged data.

    7. That’s it. This makes it lots easier to induce your messages to individuals simply without having recollecting every of their addresses.

    Hello Michael
    To delete duplicate contacts:
    1. Click People.
2.On the Home tab, in the Current View group, click the bottom right corner of the views box, and then click Phone. This is the best view to scan your contacts list and see the duplicates.
    3. Current View group on the Home tab
    4. In your list of contacts, hold down Ctrl and click each contact you want to delete.
    5. Hold down CTRL and click each contact you want to delete
    6. When you’ve selected all the duplicates, press Delete or Ctrl+D.
