    I am wondering if you have an answer to why I get this error message in Outlook 2007 – “The task cannot be sent. It may be an attachment of another message.” I get this message when accepting the task or declining a task.

    I have same problem. I can send tasks, but I cannot accept tasks sent to me and I don’t see updates of my tasks. I see mails with replies, but Outlook seems to ignore them. I’m using IMAP account with no other account configured and ESET Smart Security antivirus.

    Hi,

    If it’s an IMAP account, please try moving/copying the task to a local pst’s Inbox on the recipient’s side and then try accepting it from the local pst’s Inbox to see the result.

    In addition, other community members who had this problem are using IMAP and a few were able to work around the issue by switching to POP3. You may also have a try and let me know the result.

    Dear user,
    Please try to do the below steps mentioned below:
    1. Click Start->my computer->c-drive.
    2. Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\FORMS.
    3. Right click on Frmcache.dat->rename->Frmcache.old.
    4. Open Outlook and check.
