    Hi,

    I am having trouble with my Outlook profile. I want to create a new profile but it says to delete my old one. I have tried deleting it many times from Outlook but it still shows. what should I do?

    Hello Michael

    Removing your profile from Outlook won’t delete it. You have to delete your old profile from Control Panel.
    1. Go to Control Panel >> Mail.
    (If not able to locate Mail icon, in the search box for control panel >> type Mail)
    2. Click on Show Profiles >> select your profile >> Remove.

    I tried your solution but i am not able to access the Mail button in control panel. It is generating an error.
    Is there any other solution.

    Please Help!

    Hello

    You can try out the Registry method if Control Panel is not working:

    1. Press Windows Key + R >> Type regedit >> OK.
    2. CLick Yes in User Account Control confirmation.
    3. Expand >> HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software/microsoft/Windows NT/(your version)/Windows Messaging Subsystem/Profiles.
    4. Select the profile you want to delete >> right click >> Export >> type a file name and >> Save.

    Note: Follow step 4 if you want to save for future reference otherwise not nesseccary.

    5. Right click on profile >> Delete.
