    Hi,

    I have a bulk number of contacts in Thunderbird address book. I want to import all the contacts from Thunderbird email client to Google Mail. Is there any method to export contacts from Thunderbird to Gmail?

    Hi Sandra,

    Yes, there is a direct method to move contacts from Thunderbird to Gmail. MAB file is created in Thunderbird that stores contacts. For data migration, you need to convert MAB file to CSV file and then you can import CSV file into Gmail. After that, you will be able to access your contacts in Google mail.

    Yes, sure. Open Mozilla Thunderbird and follow below steps:

    1. Click on the Address book >> Tool >> Export.
    2. Browse the location to save CSV file. Select Comma Separated (CSV) option and click on Export button.
    3. Now, you will get CSV file.
    4. Open Gmail and login with your credentials. Click on More drop-down menu and then, click on Import button.
    5. Select the saved CSV file and click on Import button.
    6. Now, you can see all the contacts from Thunderbird in Google Mail.

    This method is quite easy but I am scared of losing my contacts. Is there any method which is safe and gives accurate results?

    Yes.
    You can use MAB Converter Tool to import Thunderbird contacts to Gmail. You can easily convert the MAB file to CSV and import the file in Google mail without any data loss.
