    Hello

Is there any way to move Thunderbird contacts to Outlook? Now, I have migrated from Mozilla Thunderbird to Microsoft Outlook and I want all the contacts in my new profile. I want all the contacts from the address book without any replacement of single contact. Please suggest any method to do so.

    Hi Kerry,

It is very important to know that contacts in Thunderbird are saved in MAB file format. You need to convert MAB file to CSV file format in order to import all the contacts in MS Outlook. This is how you can move Thunderbird contacts to Outlook.

Yes. Open Thunderbird email application and then follow the below steps:

    1. Click on the Address book. Now, all the contacts will open in new tab.
    2. Then click on Tool option from the top menu and click on Export.
    3. Browse the location where you want to save the file. Type the name of the file and choose Comma Separated (CSV) file option and export the file.
    4. Now, you can view the CSV file in the saved location.

After that, open MS Outlook and follow some more steps:

1.Click on File >> Open and Export >> Import/Export option.
    2. In Import and Export Wizard, select Import from another program or file option and click Next button.
    3. In next window, choose Comma Separated values and again click on Next button.
    4. Now, select the saved CSV and click on Do Not Import Duplicate items radio button and then again click on Next button.
    5. Select the folder where you want to import. Click on contacts & then, proceed by clicking on Next button.
    6. Click on Finish button and wait. After few moments Thunderbird contacts will import to MS Outlook.

The process is easy but bit lengthy. I am afraid of losing data as there are thousands of contacts that I can afford to lose. Please suggest any safe and easy method.

Ok. Then, you can go for an automated tool to import MAB to Outlook without any data loss. You can convert MAB file to CSV format and import to MS OUtlook. It will save your time and efforts.
