Reset the upper filter and lower filter value for external usb drive. Perform the steps given below to fix the issue.

1. Go to start, press windows key + r and type regedit and press enter.
2. Find the following registry key.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
3. Right click on the {36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} and right click on it.
4. Choose Export option and select desktop, and click on save.
5. Now select the value {36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} and check upperfilter and lowerfilter value. If these values are present then delete it
6. Restart the computer and your problem will be resolved.
