How to Read MSG Files of MS Outlook?

It is true that MSG files belong to Microsoft Outlook. If you have orphan MSG files, then also, you can access those MSG files in MS Outlook. So, try that and view MSG emails easily.

It is fine. You can then change the file extension from .msg to .mht and access them in a web browser. It is easy to open and read MSG emails in such a way.

Ok. Follow these steps:

1. Create a folder with all MSG files.
2. Click on Tools >> Folder Options.
3. Click on the View tab and uncheck the Hide file extensions for known file types option.
4. Click on Apply and then OK.
5. Right-click on a MSG file and click on Rename option.
6. Remove the .msg extension and rename it to .mht. Click on Yes for confirmation of changing the extension.
7. Repeat above steps for all the MSG files in that folder.
8. Double-click on the file to read them by any web browser like Chrome.
