    Hello Kerry
Same problem arise with me. Got Outlook 2013 via Office 365 and added my Outlook account as my account. It’s my only account. Everything syncs up; email, contacts, calendar with Outlook however the contacts do not show in the address book.
These are the steps I followed:
    1. My contacts folder shows up in the address book window.
    2. The contact folder is selected to show in the address book however the check box under the “Show this folder as an email Address Book” option is greyed out and unchangeable.
    3. I have deleted the account and created a new profile by adding back my Outlook.com account.
Same results; everything syncs but contacts in the Address Book.

    Thoughts?

Before we proceed I would require some more information to assist you better.

    1. Mention the type of email account configured in Outlook (POP3, IMAP, Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) or Exchange Server Account)?

    2. Do you have multiple data files open in Outlook?
