    Hi all,
I would like to save a copy of Office 365 data to my hard drive. Is there any way to do this?
Other than the data center level backup given by the Microsoft, is it possible to download a copy of Office 365 emails, contacts & calendars into a local storage copy..?

    Hello,

You can download your Office 365 data into .pst in order to save a local copy of your Office 365 emails, contacts & calendars. And let me add a point you can also take into account the Hybrid deployment situation where you can store data on-premise. They assure the data continuity in case of disaster recovery

    Thanks for the response

But it will a very lengthy task for an admin to download entire data one by one into PST
I stick to my question that I need to keep a monthly copy of entire mailboxes on a local disk.
Is it possible through PowerShell commands, have any one tried before?

    Hello
Currently there is nothing like the PowerShell script to download office 365 data? Why don’t you go for inbuilt backing up data on the service, apart from the SLA to maintain the continuity of your data, which activate the Archive Mailbox for the accounts you need to back up, & define a retention policies for that archive mailboxes

    Hi

I agree with your suggestion that they already provide data continuity. But my scenario is for those who needs to have a complete data of company’s mailboxes due to legal or investigation reason. I just need a physical copy to be store & use them anytime when needed. I am complete aware that there are many replicas available in Office365 but still want a copy present every time.

    Hi,
I found this: http://www.systoolsgroup.com/office365-backup/ as your solution. They are claiming to download your multiple Office365 user’s data at once. The saving format PST is also available with inclusion of EML file format.

    Hi,
The tool you have referred is very helpful. I talked to their support team for their further service. They told me that I could download my Office365 data of specific date range. Eureka it will be an additional benefit that I get and I could keep a data copy of each month individually.

Thanks a lot. It really meant to me
