Hi Barry, nnYou can refer this link to know more about the migration of public folders from Exchange to Office 365. nThe reference link of Microsoft support team is as follows: nnhttps://technet. microsoft. com/en-us/library/dn874017(v=exchg.150). aspxnnI hope this is what you are looking for. nnBest, nMichael

Thanks for your reply Michael. nnI have already gone through all the steps in the link that you mentioned. nnAll mailboxes are successfully synced. But only 2 mailboxes are not syncing.nnI didn't get any error for 3 days & then all of a sudden I get "SyncTimeoutException" this error message without any description about this error. nnThis is my issue. What should be done now? nnThanks, nBarryn

Public Folder migration to Office 365 can be full of hassles at times. nEven I got several errors while performing this migration. nnDo those mailboxes keep syncing until they timeout? nnYou can try to delete migration batch. To be more precise, delete the failing public folder mailboxes and then restart the migration process. nI guess you have created more than enough mailboxes, based on PF size? nnPlease revert back.

Yes, Michael the mailboxes stay in syncing mode until they timeout! nnI have got about 232 GB size of public folders, the script provided in the link of the Microsoft created those mailboxes. nnSo what do you suggest? Should I delete the migration batch from Office 365 admin center or should I only delete the two error mailboxes? and create new migration batch using PowerShell? nn

Ok Barry. So you should remove the migration batch (except the endpoint). Also, remove the two failing mailboxes and recreate them through PowerShell. At last create a new migration batch.:)

Ok thanks, Michael. I will perform these steps now. nnBut I wanted to know that can I recreate those 2 mailboxes via EAC? nnI can remove these mailboxes using PowerShell but the recreation of these mailboxes is a lengthy process for me. n

Yes sure, Barry. You can do this using EAC as well:)nPlease let us know if you still face any issue regarding this issue. nnAlso to avoid such issues in future, you can use a third-party tool to perform Exchange to Office 365 migration. nOne such tool is provided from a third-party vendor Inc. Please refer the link of their product: nn

Thank you so much for your help, Michael. nnI will perform all the steps & update you about the result. nnHave a great weekend. Cheers!
