    I am employing a document design program known as H.p Exstream design & Production for years. I recently installed Adobe acrobat professional DC and started getting this error message after opening a PDF.

    The font is embedded (I checked) and it’s solely giving the error on this font kind, as all the other fonts i’m using seem fine. The fonts i’m using are proprietary to the corporate. i’m not solely seeing this on PDFs created from my native workstation, however also on PDFs using my design created on the mainframe (zOS)

    I have been using these fonts for over a year with no problems. May it’s something in the font, or however the PDF is being created? It’s causing some textual elements on the PDF to disappear.  I have read the past questions that are asked on this topic with no clear answer that has helped me.

    OS = Windows 7 professional 64-bit

    You can do this workaround :
    1. Open the PDF file in acrobat
    2. Choose the “Print as Image” (or may be “Image”, or “Bitmap”) checkbox in Print
    3. Advanced
    Then, print as PDF.

    Another way to try and do a similar issue is to protect the file against hight-res printing :
    Then print as PDF (this can force low-res printing).

    This tip save me some docs… but in any case all the file content are 150 dpi downsampled.

    Hello Barry
    I have read all that before. I don’t need a workaround, I need these PDFs to work first time as they are sent to clients for viewing. I cannot ask clients to perform a workaround in order to view their statements.

    Everything I find points to the font being corrupt on your computer. Can you create the document on someone else’s computer that has that font and at that point will it work?
