To view your emails from your .ost file, you can also use a FREE Viewer for OST files. You can get one such FREE OST viewer application from http://www.freeostviewer.com/

Freeware utility shows all of your emails from ost file and also allows you to view attachments from the respective email messages.

Forensic investigators can also get a sneek preview into OST files with hex view present in the free viewer.
