July 26, 2016 at 7:54 am in reply to: How can I import Windows Live mail to MS Outlook ? #2674 Score: 0The Windows operating system is fully updated. I tried all the initial troubleshooting step, but it had no difference. Ever after repair and reinstalling, I am still unable to open any saved email files.
July 26, 2016 at 7:03 am in reply to: How can I import Windows Live mail to MS Outlook ? #2669 Score: 0Thank you for your reply. But double clicking the file is not helping to open the EML file. Only Windows Live Mail opens blank.
I even tried to save an incoming email to a file on the desktop (with the default .eml extension), and then reopening it from the desktop with the blank Windows Mail.July 16, 2016 at 11:15 am in reply to: Trying to Import Multiple Outlook Express Data in MS Outlook, but Getting an Error Message #2551 Score: 0Hmm
Ok, then why don’t you give a try to third party tool to convert DBX to PST using SysTools DBX to PST Converter. It will less the overhead of exporting individual employee’s data, because it provide the bulk export option to export your Outlook Express Data to MS Outlook

Thank you so much. I was able to extract all the attachments from Mbox File and successfully view all my messages. It is really a helpful tool.
Then can you suggest me some other effective way that will enable me to extract attachment without Thunderbird.
Thank you for response. But, I have already mentioned above that my system has crashed and I do not have access to Thunderbird. I am using my colleagues system which do not have Thunderbird. Can you please help me suggest me any manual method that can extract all the mails with attachments from Mbox file.

Dexter the date modified timestamp will generally get updated on an Exchange database when either of the things happen
1. The EDB file size is extended in order to accommodate data that does not fit into whitespace that currently exists in the database.
2. Or the database is dismounted and all open handles to the files are released.Eddie

Do not worry
You can try the following steps & let me know if this is best suited for you or not.
1. Download and install Window live mail
2. Import Outlook Express data in Window live mail (Note: Entire emails get saved into EML format)
3. Now drag these EML files into Outlook & your data become accessible in MS Outlook 2013Eddie
Can you suggest me any automatic method that will itself extract all the emails from Mbox File as I do not have access to Thunderbird. Also, I have large number of emails which has an attachment. Manually downloading the attachment from every email is very quite a difficult task.

The Solution provided by Dexter is good and will resolve your Outlook issues. But if you simply want to Resolve your duplicate contacts issues you can opt. for Merge options. This can simply Merge and will hide the Duplicate Entries in your Address book
Steps for merging Duplicate Contacts in Outlook:1. Open Outlook 2013.
2. Click on people from the navigation pane at the bottom.
3. choose the person with whom you wish to link another contact.
4. click on the 3 dots right next to the edit option and choose Link Contact.
5. Search Name of the person to be merge set in link another Contacts and click on that. It’ll merge the contacts right and can show each the names beneath connected Contacts heading.
6. To create certain the contacts merged, Select name which was chosen earlier and see if it shows the merged data.
7. That’s it. This makes it lots easier to induce your messages to individuals simply without having recollecting every of their addresses.

You can this method, sometimes it works.
1. Corrupt the .pst file manually.
2. Using a hex editor, Erase 7 bytes from position 07 in the .pst
file.
3. Then run scanpst.exe – available free on the net.
You will recover you old PST file.
This sometimes helps.Note: If this doesn’t help, the file has
travelled west.Hi All
I read all the answers, and I think Barry you may came out of your problem by trying all that. But I too have a solution for you in case the above solutions wont work.
1. Go to the location SCANPST.EXE file is saved
2. Double click SCANPST.EXE
3. A Short Window Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool Will pop up.
4. Now go to Browse to select corrupt PST File from the systm directory
5. The selected PST file will be shown on the edit box. Now click on start to start the scanning process
6. As the scanning file process is done. All the errors and issues will be shown here.
7. Now click on repair button to repair the scanned PST file.
8. It will take few minutes, once it will repair you can view your archived Outlook file.Eddie
