Also do you’ve the PST files in your home computer? (because you don’t have mentioned that whether the PST data are only in your office PC or they’re in home PC too.)Try this, it may help you out

You can fix it by killing all Outlook related processes
1. Right click the task bar and select “Task Manager” or press CTRL+ALT+Delete, then choose “Task Manager”

Had you try open the same file (which is not opening, downloaded in your system) on other system. try to open the same file in other pdf reader. like foxit reader, Microsoft edge etc.
If it doesn’t work then remove adobe acrobat reader and use adobe cleanup tool, for clean uninstallation and
install it again and check the same.
