    Hi

Well Thanks, after your suggestion I tried the Inbox Repair Tool but I found out that it won’t worked in my case. I don’t know what happened but there was no repair sign in my data file.

I think my files are beyond repair. Can you please suggest me alternative if it is possible?

    Thanks & Regards
    Kerry

    Hi Henry,

This error occurs when you’re using wrong text format (Rich Text format). To prevent this problem you’ll have to change the text format into HTML format and then try hyper-link in Outlook and then modify the text format.

Changing the text format: Open a New Mail in Outlook >> select FORMAT TEXT from the Ribbon >> select Aa HTML

Modifying the text format: click Modify… >> right click Hyper link >> Select New documents based on this template and click OK.

    Regards
    Kerry

    Hi Eddie,

I’m using Outlook 2013 with IMAP configuration and Windows7. As I came to know that it is possible to combine inbox of multiple email accounts in MS Outlook (from the above post) but Is that possible to combine inbox of multiple accounts in Outlook using IMAP? If not then How to convert Outlook IMAP configuration into POP3 configuration? I’m using Gmail account in Outlook.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Hi dear

Read your issue and finally got what you are looking for. Hence as Admin is correct there is no such possible manual method exist.

Meanwhile try some reliable third party tools. I will refer you some of the genuine third party tool claiming to convert OLM into PST and more other formats too. I have found a good customer review of this utility that’s why recommending you to try it.

    Hi Linclon,

You can do one thing to resolve this error.
Outlook for Mac relies on Exchange Web Services (EWS), it does not support MAPI. Which is why you get this error.
So you can enable basic authentication of IIS (Internet Information Services) to access Exchange services for Mac.
To do this just go to IIS Manager in windows server and then expend default web site from left panel, if not expended. Then select EWS from left panel and select (double click) Authentication in IIS at Result panel which is at middle of window. Then in authentication just Enable Basic Authentication.

This solution is working for me. You can try this

    1. I open outlook and then type / paste exchange server link (in my case: https://owa.compName.com/ews/exchange.asmx) in server field and then I get this error.
    2. Then I change server field https://owa.compName.com/owa.
    3. Now I quit outlook, quit form background running too & then again open outlook.
    4. Nothing happened.
    5. Then I send dummy email, it takes more than usual time to send.
    6. But after that it works fine and I repeat this process when I start my laptop.

    Hello Lincoln

Well I assume you have found the OST and OST holds your server data you might be your emails are stored in OST file, you can import the OST to Outlook. Try some easily available Third party tool, I am recommending you this one, it claims to recover OST and restores your mailbox completely.

Here is the link: – http://www.systoolsgroup.com/ost-recovery.html , I will not assure about the efficiency as I have not used it yet. But still you can take a chance to get your mails back.

    Regards Kerry.

    Hi Michael,

If Inbox Repair tool does not recognize the file, then I am 100% sure PST file is highly corrupted. In this situation, you need to use a third party Outlook Recovery tool to recover/restore/repair PST file. I hope it will be helpful for you.

    Thanks & Regards

Now Lincoln you can only save your mails if you have an OST file stored locally at your system. OST file store the server data locally but you cannot directly access it in Outlook. Check for the OST file in your system.

You can find your OST location from here: – File > Account Settings > Data Files tab > Select the Data file account > Press Open File Location.

    Hi Lincoln

You can recover your mails only if they are under the retention period of server. I would like to confirm that to which server you are synced with, is it Exchange Server or any other server?

    Hi Lincoln

Don’t mind but actually I want some more detailed information regarding this, can you please tell me some points: –

    • Your auto archive setting is set to archive every less than 90 days’ mails?
    • Have you checked your local PST or OST file?
    • Did you check your deleted items or recoverable deleted item?
    • To check deleted items: – Right click on Deleted Items > Select Recoverable Items.
