No, the method remains the same for all the Operating System. I asked it because you need to know the file location of the Thunderbird.
    For Windows User– C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\
    For Linux/ Unix User– ~/.thunderbird/<Profile name>/
    For Mac User– ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/<Profile name>/

What you need to do is
    1. Navigate to the location of Thunderbird
    2. Open the Inbox file in Notepad or text editor.
    3. Locate this line “X-Mozilla-Status: 0004″(number may be different)
    4. Replace the number from “0004” to “0000”
    5. Save the file and check in again in Thunderbird account

    Hi Mariya
First Do not panic. I don’t think it would be very difficult to access your data back unless the files are not corrupted. Could I know which OS you are using for Thunderbird?

Hi, Thanks for showing interest in my query. I have used this manual approach of disabling enhanced security mode in order to fix the issue. But, by using above described method there is file formatting done in PDF file and data loss issue was encountered. Is there any other method to solve the problem?

Guys Thanks for your suggestion. But I think the above two are not a professional solution because I have a huge amount of emails in my mailbox. If I tried these manual methods it makes so many time to complete my task. So can you please suggest any proficient methods like third-party tool to extract emails from Outlook?

    Hey Eddie,

There are some manual methods available for the above problem. You can follow the following steps:

    1. Transfer all the MSG files to a new folder. Once the folder is opened, Click on the “Tools” button on the top menu, Now click on “Folder Options”.
    2. Click on the “view” tab, just scroll down to the option “Hide file extensions for known file types”. Keep the corresponding box unchecked.
    3. Click on the button “Apply”. If the button is not highlighted or active, Click on the “OK” button.
    4. Now, Do right lick on the MSG file and click on the “Rename” option. Rename the file extension as “.mht”.
    5. Click on “Next” on the confirmation prompt. Once the process is complete, double-click on the MSG files. As, They will be directly accessible in the web browser now.

    Thanks & Regards

I have come across this effective tool through Google search while searching for your problem. Based on user’s reviews, I would suggest you to download and run SysTools vCard Export utility to export Outlook contacts to vCard file easily. This application provides users with options to convert their Outlook contacts to different file formats like vCard, WAB, Google Contacts and Yahoo Contacts as well.

PS: The free demo version of the tool is also available.
