I think your client isn’t an authenticated user for Exchange server. It considers the person as guest. In this case person can send messages to the internal users but not external users.
So, firstly your client have to authenticate himself/herself properly to the exchange server, so that server couldn’t consider as a spammer.

    Hi Kerry,

You should contact to the administrator of Exchange Server and ask him to create an Autodiscover service.
After successful creation of Autodiscover service you will be able to connect with Exchange Server.

    Hi Kerry,

The manual way to connect to Exchange server is not available in Outlook 2016. You have to use autodiscover servive of Microsoft Outlook to connect Exchange server.

    Hi Kerry,

You can try a manual solution to export mailboxes from EDB file to PST file. To achieve this you should have some knowledge about exchange server management console. You can repair EDB file using Powershell command in case of EDB file corruption.

First check for corrupt edb file or dirty shutdown.
Then execute repair edb file command and after successful repair of edb file run export mailbox command.

I you find any problem in this process then you can reply us.

    Hi Kerry,
Just do as i have written following:

After clicking on Mail after searching in control panel a new “Mail Setup – Outlook” window will open. Here you are to click on Show Profiles button. After clicking on Show profile, a new Mail window will open. Now click on Add button and enter new Profile Name which you want to create and click on OK. Now an Add Account window will open, in this select radio button “Manual Setup or Additional Server Types” and click on Next button. Now select Exchange Server radio button which will be already selected, you just click on Next button. Here enter server name & user name and click on next.

Now you have connected Exchange account with Outlook.

    Hello Kerry,
Thanks for your post in sysc.org

Try to create a new profile in Outlook and then connect Exchange Email Account.

You can create a new profile in Outlook by going through control panel then type Mail in search box of control panel. Then open mail and create a new profile from there.

If the problem did not resolve then feel free to write.

    Hi

Well even if you use Outlook 16 it will remain same as Outlook only sync send/receive mails so I would suggest you that you should take backup of your AOL data, because it is the only way I see will help you out now.
I suggest a third party utility SysTools AOL backup as they described there that the tool will back up all your AOL data (current & previous both) so must give it a try.
Note: – Use the tool at your own because I haven’t used the utility before.

Well it seems you want your whole AOL email folder synced in Outlook but the fact is that Outlook only sync the send/receive mails and overrides the previous mail folders. Whether you are using outlook 2003 or 2013 the issue persists. I must suggest you should take backup of your AOL account so that all your AOL mail folders get synced safely.

So if I use the utility I hope I will not get the compatibility issue, But after the conversion the PST file I get, would it be accessible in MS Outlook 2007. As I need to access them in my testing machines which are running Office 2007 suite.

Hmm, Got your point. Does this program need to install individually on each user’s machine or can it work in a uni network?

No I don’t mind that if recovery is a part of process, but I think it should run internally & should be hidden. The instruction should carry the info of conversion instead of recovery.

    Hi Michael.

What type of email account are you using? IMAP or POP?

If you are using POP account, then you can continue with Barry and Kerry.

If you are working on Microsoft Exchange account, then check “cache exchange mode” is enable or not. If not, then enable it.

    To do so:

Click on “File” Tab >> “Info” >> “Account Settings” >> On the “Email” Tab, Select Exchange account and click on “Change” >> Under “Microsoft Exchange Server” settings >> Check “Use Cache Exchanged Mode”. You can check another setting to resolve your occurred error.

You can also set up Microsoft Outlook to check for new e-mail messages at intervals of one minute to 1,440 minutes (one day).

    To do so:

    • Open “MS Outlook” >> Click on “Send/ Receive” Tab >> “Send Receive Groups” >> Select “Defined Send/Receive Groups” from the drag down list.

    Send/Receive Groups Settings

    • Select the group that contains the e-mail account that you want to regularly check for messages.
    • Under the section Setting for group “group name”, select the “Schedule an automatic send/receive every n minutes” check box.

    Set time limit

    • Put a number from 1 to 1440 in the minutes box >> Click on “Close” button.
    • Now, Go to “Send/Receive” Tab, click on “Send/Receive All folders” button.

I hope the above information will be helpful in resolving your issue.

    Best Regards
