Really helpful method, but still there are some challenges. How to unpack these PST files & store them in a readable format in the hard disk? Or am I going to need to move these pst files into a pen drive to give him, and then copy them over to another Outlook install, where he could open them there?

Yes I am able to find PST file in both way. But using the second way I found more PST files as compare to the first method.

It’s Window7 machine’s hard drive. But I don’t have the confirmation about the version of MS Outlook. After exploring within folder I found Outlook folder at these location:
    C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook
    C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache
But at first location I found only .srs & .xml file
& at second location there were some .dat file
And after checking the size of these file I could understand that it couldn’t be the email storage of Outlook.

Yes you can store your Aol emails into your desktop by utilizing AOL Backup Software. The tool save your Aol mails into various formats PST, EML & MSG. This would be beneficial in terms of global platform access as these file type are accessible under most used platform Outlook (PST, MSG), Thunderbird (EML), etc.

While browsing, I found this post, hope that you will find it useful too..
    https://sysc.org/remove-ost-file-password/
The post suggests manual procedure to recover data from a password-protected OST file by dismounting and moving it onto a new machine. While performing the method you may be asked to check for any integrity issues with your OST file to be on the safer side. So before dismounting OST on a new machine, take a backup & then proceed further.
When digging through the post I found an application for removing password from OST files. I personally tested the suggested OST Password Recovery tool on my machine & found it to be quite impressive in terms of both; efficiency and integrity. Therefore, I would recommend this solution as 100 percent safe & guaranteed.
