Yes you can use SysTools Split PST for this task. It will effectively split you PST file as per your choice. You can create any number of files with this tool. Once you split PST file you can backup it.

After looking your problem, I would suggest to use with any third party service provider utility. So that you can easily extract DBX file to MBOX.
If you are using the latest version and your Inbuilt repair tool is not working then you should contact to your administrator and ask whether the auto disconnect feature is on or not. Or you can go with an alternate solution to locate missing Outlook PST files
Missing Outlook PST files can be found easily with the help of inbuilt repair tool but if you are unable to do so then do check the Outlook Version you are using. Or update your Outlook to its latest version. This could be a reason why the inbuilt tool is not working.

If you have deleted the complete calendar folder then type ‘ctrl+6 key to get the folder list in navigation pane then then check under deleted items folder.
Have you correctly checked these settings Outlook Express-> tools->options->security tab->uncheck because these settings must be Uncheck as it block images or other HTML content that could contain a virus

If you want to take backup & also import your yahoo emails into outlook follow this steps :
1.Open yahoo backup software
2.Enter, yahoo username and mail id password for login in yahoo backup
3.Now go to Backup option and choose PST(Microsoft Outlook)
4.After choose PST format, select destination folder to save the PST file and click start
5.Now open the outlook email client and choose import option to import your yahoo mail into outlook.Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button till the red slider seems. Drag the slider to show your device fully off. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button once more till you see the Apple logo.
